Antique-hotel Rachmaninov is situated in the very center of St-Petersburg, near the Nevsky prospect in the building where the great composer studied and worked in 1884-1885. His room was scrupulously reconstructed and now it is the Rachmaninov’s Lux of the hotel, the design of other rooms and the cozy living-room was inspired by the atmosphere of the “Silver Age” of Russian culture and so the hotel can be also considered to be a museum of the noble class life in the end of XIX century How to get there 1. If you have arrived on the Moscow station any transport going by the Nevskiy prospect, will take you to the Kazansky Cathedral (and behind it there is a hotel). 2. If you have come to Saint-Petersburg by the plane to Pulkovo 1 or 2 and you haven’t ordered a transfer to hotel then by bus or minibus ¹ Ê-3, 39, 13, 213 you’ll get to nearest metro station “Moskovskaya”. Our station – “Nevskiy Prospect”. And under the blue sky you’ll see the huge dome of the Kazansky Cathedral. Behind it on a quiet street antique-hotel “Rachmaninov” stands. |
