Besides having valid Russian visa in passport, foreign nationals going to Russia are requested to fill out Migration Card. Migration Cards should be available on a board of airplane/train/ship or on the border in case of arrival by bus/car.
The migration card consists of 2 parts: A (Arrival) and B (Departure). You should fill in both parts and hand it over to the Border Control Officer along with your passports and another travel documents. Part A will be taken out and part B - stamped and returned to you for the registration.
You should present migration card while registration your visa within 3 days after your arrival to the point of destination or within 1 day if you stay in hotel. Migration card with registration should be handed over to immigration officials on the border upon departure.
Please note:
- that the arrival/departure card inserted into your passport by Consulate is different from the migration card, and you have to contain both cards in your passport. To avoid the loss of these cards, we recommend you staple them into your passport.
- you will be given new blank of migration card upon your next arrival to Russia.
